DESCRIPTION:Formed in 1985 by four disaffected thirteen year olds\, BOLD be
	gan life as\nCrippled Youth.  The band first caught the attention of the t
	hriving mid-80’s\nhardcore scene with the release of their nine song e.p.\
	, “Join The Fight”\, which\nalong with brother band\, Youth of Today helpe
	d define the look\, message and\nsound of what would become known as Youth
	 Crew hardcore.  Shortly after the\nrelease of “Join The Fight”\, the band
	 changed its name and released the landmark\nNYHC L.P. “Speak Out” on Reve
	lation Records.  Non-stop live shows expanded the\nband’s reach and cement
	ed them among the most influential groups of their time.\nIn 1989 BOLD rec
	ruited guitarist  Tom Capone for the release of what would\nbecome\, at it
	s time\, their swan song - the eponymous 7”\, which would later be\nre-rel
	eased as Looking Back. This record marked a distinct sonic and lyrical\npr
	ogression\; anticipating the more technical components of what would follo
	w in\nhardcore of the 90’s\, while at the same time\, pre-figuring many ha
	llmarks of\nwhat would soon inform post-hardcore.
