DESCRIPTION:11th of July at Filmrauschpalast Moabit!\n\nAfter our last Mond
o Video trip took us into the far reaches of Southeast Asia\,\nwe now want
to head back to our own (punk) roots.\n\nFor every adolescent punk of the
2000s\, there was a bible of destruction in the\nform of the legendary fo
und-footage film Kampf der Welten – Chaostage ‚95\,\navailable on VHS thro
ugh every punk-relevant mail order and a must-have in any\nhousehold. The
film splices together original TV footage from Hanover — whose\nNordstadt
district was literally reduced to rubble during the 1995 punk\ngathering a
ptly named Chaostage — with scenes from Byron Haskin’s The War of the\nWor
lds (1953). After watching it\, any reasonable person will want to take ho
me a\nmohawk.\n\nThe massive scandal around Chaostage ‚95 also spurred the
newly founded\nAnarchist Pogo Party of Germany to run for the first time
as an electable party\nin the federal elections. Nie wieder Arbeit – Die A
PPD\, der legale Arm der\nChaostage? was released as the party’s official
	propaganda video\, featuring\ninterviews with members\, booze-soaked party
conventions\, and provocative\ndemonstrations through downtown Munich. It
stars punk legends like Karl Nagel\,\nMaik Froidl\, and beloved talk-show
guest Erich Zander — making it an absolute\nmust-watch for anyone who hat
es working and has a shred of humor.\n\nPhilipp Meinert — punk socializati
on in the Ruhr region\, writer for Plastic Bomb\nFanzine\, co-editor of Pu
nk in Deutschland\, author of Homopunk History (Ventil\nVerlag) and former
sleazy APPD member — gives the introduction to both films.\n\nThe evening
will be entirely in German\, but we invite all expats to come\nexperience
a piece of German history with us. As always we will screen both\nfilms f
rom original VHS tapes.\n\n🎟️ Ticket available now [https://https://linktr.
