Formed in 2014 by multi-instrumentalist Damián Antón Ojeda, Sadness is a prolific solo project turned touring act that blends atmospheric black metal, shoegaze, and ambient soundscapes. Evolving from raw DSBM on its debut Close (2014) to the lush, emotional peak of modern blackgaze staple I Want to Be There (2019), the project pairs harsh metal roots with ethereal post-rock melodies.
